Tanimura & Antle Artisan Lettuce and Pear Salad

Products Used: Tanimura & Antle Artisan® lettuce, Tanimura & Antle Artisan® Sweet Italian Red Onions

Ingredients
  • 4 Heads Tanimura & Antle Artisan® lettuce, washed, dried and torn into pieces
  • ¼ cup Tanimura & Antle Artisan® Sweet Italian Red Onion
  • 2 red pears, sliced
  • 15 torn basil leaves
  • ½ cup firm goat cheese, crumbled (substitute for Feta if needed)
  • ½ cup toasted pecans tablespoons olive oil
For the Dressing
  • ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 2 tsp. Dijon Mustard
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Pepper
Instructions
  1. Toast pecans for 5-6 minutes in skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add Artisan Lettuce, onions, pecans, and basil leaves to large bowl.
  3. Whisk together dressing ingredients.
  4. Drizzle dressing over ingredients in salad bowl.
  5. Top with pears and goat cheese.
