Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Dressing

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, sour cream, white wine vinegar, and chopped parsley until smooth and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2: Chill the Dressing

Cover and refrigerate the dressing for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend and develop.

Step 3: Preheat the Grill

Preheat a barbecue grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Step 4: Season the Lettuce

Arrange the Tanimura & Antle Artisan® Baby Iceberg halves cut-side up on a platter or baking sheet. Lightly coat the cut sides with cooking spray and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Grill the Lettuce

Place the lettuce halves cut-side down on the hot grill. Grill for about 2 minutes, or until lightly charred and grill marks appear. Remove from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.

Step 6: Assemble the Dish

Drizzle the chilled buttermilk dressing generously over the grilled lettuce. Sprinkle with the toasted walnuts for added crunch and nutty flavor.

Step 7: Serve

Serve immediately while the lettuce is still slightly warm and the dressing is cool and creamy.

Enjoy as a fresh and flavorful side dish that combines smoky, crisp, creamy, and crunchy textures in every bite.
