Tanimura & Antle Welcomes 62 New Employee Owners to Its
20 Year Club

Salinas, CA - August 11, 2026, - Tanimura & Antle, an employee-owned leader in fresh produce, is proud to announce the induction of 62 employee owners into its prestigious 20 Year Club, recognizing individuals who have dedicated two decades of service to the company.

With this year's inductees, Tanimura & Antle now celebrates more than 450 employee owners who have reached the 20-year milestone, a remarkable achievement in today's workforce where long-term tenure has become increasingly rare.

The 20 Year Club honors employee owners whose dedication, hard work, and commitment have helped shape the company's culture and contribute to its continued success. These individuals represent every aspect of the business, from the field and harvesting operations to customer service, logistics, administration, and leadership.

"Our 20 Year Club members represent the heart of our company," said Nora Cortez, Chief Human Resources Officer at Tanimura & Antle. "Their commitment, experience, and pride of ownership have helped build the strong culture we enjoy today. We are incredibly grateful for their contributions and honored to celebrate this milestone alongside them."

In addition to recognizing 62 new 20 Year Club members, Tanimura & Antle is celebrating hundreds of employee owners who reached important service milestones this year, including:

      • 141 employee owners celebrating 10 years
      • 99 employee owners celebrating 15 years
      • 36 employee owners celebrating 25 years
      • 11 employee owners celebrating 30 years
      • 12 employee owners celebrating 35 years
      • 7 employee owners celebrating 40 years

Together, these milestones reflect the strength of a culture built on opportunity, respect, shared success, and employee ownership.

Among this year's 20 Year Club inductees is Brian Antle, Executive Vice President of Sales, whose two decades with the company have provided a unique perspective on the organization's growth and evolution. "What makes this milestone so special isn't simply the number of years people have worked here; it's what those years represent," said Antle. "Across industries, companies are facing unprecedented challenges while retaining employees. To have hundreds of employee owners choose to build long-term careers at Tanimura & Antle speaks volumes about our culture, our values, and the opportunities available here. The loyalty and commitment demonstrated by our workforce has been a significant factor in our success, and I'm incredibly proud to celebrate alongside this year's inductees as a fellow 20 Year Club member."

Also being recognized this year is Josefina Alcala, Payroll Technician in Yuma, who reflected on the people and relationships that have defined her career.

"When I look back on the past 20 years, what stands out most are the people," said Alcala. "I've had the opportunity to work with incredible teammates, learn new skills, and grow both personally and professionally. Tanimura & Antle has always felt like a place where employees are valued and supported. Reaching this milestone is something I'm very proud of, and I'm grateful to have been part of a company that feels like family."

The company's commitment to employee ownership continues to play a key role in fostering engagement, stability, and career growth. Through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), employees have the opportunity to share the company's success while helping build a future for themselves and their families.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median tenure for private-sector employees is approximately 3.5 years, making a 20-year career with a single employer increasingly uncommon. Tanimura & Antle's growing 20 Year Club highlights a culture that has enabled generations of employee owners to build meaningful and lasting careers.

"As we celebrate these milestones, we are reminded that our success has always been driven by our people," said Cortez. "Every employee owner contributes to our mission of delivering Quality, Service, and Innovation, and we are grateful for the dedication they bring to work each day."

Tanimura & Antle Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of La Mesa Ridge Employee Housing Community in Yuma

Salinas, CA - March 9, 2026, - Last week, Tanimura & Antle marked the official opening of La Mesa Ridge, a state‑of‑the‑art agricultural employee housing community, with a ribbon‑cutting ceremony held in Yuma, Arizona. The event celebrated a major milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting its workforce through innovative, purpose‑built housing solutions.

La Mesa Ridge is a fully secured, modern housing community designed to accommodate up to 968 employee team members, including domestic, seasonal, and H‑2A workers. By centralizing employee housing into a single location, the community improves operational efficiency while reducing traffic and transportation impacts throughout the Yuma area.

"This project represents an important investment in our people,” said Brian Antle, Executive Vice President of Sales. “When we opened Spreckels Crossing, we set out to do something that hadn’t been done before. La Mesa Ridge carries that momentum forward, reinforcing our belief that long‑term success starts with taking care of the people who make our work possible.”

La Mesa Ridge builds on the company’s pioneering housing efforts that began in 2016 with Spreckels Crossing in Salinas, California – the region’s first purpose‑built agricultural employee housing community developed and operated by an agricultural company. Lessons learned from that pilot project influenced the design and scale of La Mesa Ridge, representing the next evolution of Tanimura & Antle’s workforce housing strategy.

Phase 1 of La Mesa Ridge includes eight residential buildings with 121 fully furnished suites in two‑bedroom, two‑bathroom configurations featuring full kitchens, living areas, and smart‑home technology. On‑site amenities include a fitness and weight room, recreation spaces, laundry facilities, basketball courts, and covered outdoor gathering areas. The fully gated community is located adjacent to company‑provided transportation, resulting in no traffic impact on Yuma roadways while offering daily bus service and parking for employees with personal vehicles.

Beyond supporting employees, the project delivers benefits to the broader Yuma community. By consolidating housing, Tanimura & Antle is exiting multiple rental properties throughout the area, helping return housing inventory to the local market.

The City of Yuma was an active partner throughout the development process, working closely with the company to approve plans and conduct ongoing inspections to ensure the facility meets or exceeds all local standards and codes. While construction was led by Avila Construction Company, a California‑based firm, the majority of subcontractors were local to Yuma and across Arizona.

Construction on La Mesa Ridge began in mid‑March 2024, with the first buildings completed in time for the 2025 growing season. Phase 1 is scheduled for full completion in April 2026, following an approximately one‑year build timeline. With La Mesa Ridge now open, Tanimura & Antle continues to demonstrate leadership in addressing workforce housing challenges through thoughtful planning, innovation, and long‑term investment in the communities where it operates.

The journey of Tanimura & Antle’s Artisan Lettuce began 15 years ago, sparked by curiosity in a new lettuce seed available in European markets but not yet introduced in the United States. The company decided to pioneer the concept of mini lettuce heads that would deliver the perfect balance of flavor and crunch. After years of development and trials to master the art of growing these new seed varieties – along with successfully growing red and green varieties side by side – Tanimura & Antle Artisan® Lettuce was born. Tanimura & Antle has remained at the forefront of the industry, consistently delivering products that meet and exceed customer and consumer expectations.

Over the past 15 years, the product has not only expanded its presence in the market but also undergone significant enhancements to meet the evolving tastes and preferences of consumers. The impact of this specialty product on grocery shopping experiences has been profound. Consumers consistently praise Tanimura & Antle Artisan® Lettuce for its fresh taste, crisp texture, and versatility in a variety of dishes. Retailers and foodservice customers alike have recognized the value the petite lettuce varieties bring to their offerings, with many sharing success stories of how it has become a staple in their produce sections and on their menus. One customer shared, “Amazing tasty, colorful salads with this lettuce! This lettuce pack is so handy and tasty and value priced! Gourmet looking and tasting salads for a fraction of the cost of shopping at specialty markets. For beautiful salads just use a few leaves of each of the four types of lettuce and chop a few other ingredients. This lettuce pack stays fresh for many days in the fridge.”

“We’ve heard countless stories from our customers about how our Tanimura & Antle Artisan® Lettuce has elevated their salads and recipes, making it a favorite among their own customers,” said Brian Antle, Executive Vice President of Sales. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see how our commitment to excellence has translated into enhanced shopping experiences and satisfied consumers – All while providing them with healthy food options.”

Like the rest of the items in the Tanimura & Antle Artisan® family, this item serves as a superior substitution for spring mix and other bagged salads.
