The Internship: The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the creation and maintenance of accurate information in our Human Capital Management (HCM) system.

Location: Salinas, CA

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Onboard non-confidential employees on the HCM system
  • Maintain accurate and timely employee HCM information for active employees and employees that separate from the Company
  • Assist with the preparation of new hire packets, recall notices, layoff notices, and employee memorandums
  • Communicate and collaborate with Operations regarding employment status, absences and leaves
  • Assist with domestic and H-2A employee orientations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role preferred

  • Knowledge and experience with HCM systems

  • Bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish

  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, and holidays and weekends as needed

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
