The Internship: In this role you will work with our Harvest Management team to learn how to generate weekly volume estimates for the Sales department, as well as identify, communicate and manage crop quality. Additionally, you will coordinate with the farm group to identify potential volume or quality issues farther in advance so that we can adjust Sales strategies accordingly. Finally, you will spend time with harvest supervision to gain an understanding of crew management, and all the unique factors present in hand-harvesting vegetables.
Location: Salinas, CA
Areas of Responsibility:
- Generate weekly reports on volume/quality of chosen crop(s)
- Identify fields that are significantly ahead/behind schedule, or that have significant quality issues.
- Communicate with farm team to mitigate potential issues.
- Understand sales/customer demand and match with available inventory.
Strong work ethic (55+ hours/week)
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively across job functions and departments, both verbally and in writing.
Learn/understand written and spoken Spanish and English

- Computer literate
