Jerry Nakasawa Jr. Tanimura & Antle Grower
Jerry Nakasawa Jr.
Jerry Nakasawa’s father, Jerry Sr., worked with Bud Antle in Holtville, CA in 1973, starting a farming relationship with the Tanimura & Antle families that continues today. It was in 1983 that the family farming operations moved to Yuma, AZ where Jerry Jr. grew up. After receiving an Agribusiness degree from the University of Arizona, Jerry returned to the family business to work alongside his father to grow a long list of products for Tanimura & Antle including iceberg lettuce, Artisan Lettuce and Romaine, broccoli, cauliflower, mix lettuce, romaine, celery and red onions. To Jerry, it is both a challenge and a privilege to be outside on the ranch every day. His key to success is to “never think you know everything, because each season can bring new challenges. Learning to combine time- tested farming methods with newer techniques is key.”
