Orecchiette with Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. orecchiette or medium shell pasta
  • 1 stalk Tanimura & Antle® Broccoli, rinsed, cut into 1” florets
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tanimura & Antle® Red Bell Pepper, rinsed, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1 cup grated Romano or Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  • Cook pasta in boiling salted water 6 minutes.
  • Add broccoli; continue cooking pasta and broccoli until just tender, 3 to 4 minutes longer.
  • Drain, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water.
  • Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Sauté bell pepper with bell pepper with garlic and crushed papper until just tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat. Add pasta and broccoli; stire to combine. Moisten with some of the reserved cooking water, if necessary.
  • Transfer to serving bowl. Add cheese; toss. Season with pepper.

Serves: 4-6
