ARTISAN SWEET RED ONIONS

Description

After more than 20 years of cultivating the ideal sweet onion in the Italian tradition, we came up with this unique Artisan Sweet Italian Red Onion, available only from Tanimura & Antle. These delicious members of the allium family have a mild flavor that is not overpowering or pungent, making them highly versatile for a variety of recipes – roasted, sauteed, grilled, caramelized or fresh.

Grown on USA family farms, we harvest at the peak of freshness & quality using sustainable growing practices.

Pro Tips

  • Store in a cool, dry place with good circulation.
  • Select onions that are firm for their size and have little to no scent. Avoid bulbs with any cuts, bruises, or blemishes. When purchasing whole peeled onions, select ones with an outside layer that does not show signs of being dehydrated
  • To minimize tearing while chopping, try refrigerating the onion for an hour or so prior to your prep.
