Tanimura & Antle Employees Join with Tanimura & Antle in Contributing $46,240 in Hurricane Katrina Relief

Tanimura & Antle announced today that its employees have joined with the company in contributing a total of $46,240 to the American Red Cross for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Tanimura & Antle gave $5,000 and also matched its employees’ generous contributions of $20,620 on a dollar-for-dollar basis, for a total of $46,240.

Tanimura & Antle's Mike Antle Assumes Harvest Responsibilities

Tanimura & Antle announced today that Mike Antle has become Vice-President, Harvest, in addition his continuing to serve, along with Gary Tanimura, as an Executive Vice President of the Company. Reporting to Ken Silveira, President and Chief Operating Officer, Mike will assume responsibility for all Harvest operations of Tanimura & Antle. Working closely with Steve Bassi, Senior Vice-President, Agriculture Operations, he will be providing leadership in a role he has held previously.

Tanimura & Antle Achieves Farmworker Child Care Milestone

Tanimura & Antle announced today that enrollment in its child-care center has passed the 175-student mark. Founded in the Spring of 2003, the Tanimura & Antle Child-Care Center is located near the Company’s headquarters in Spreckels, California. It is a joint-venture with the Monterey County Office of Education and grew out of ideas from Tanimura & Antle’s employees, who were asked to give their thoughts on how the company could serve them better.

WOW Camp, Summer Enrichment Program for Kids, Celebrates it’s 5th Year

Tanimura & Antle announced today that WOW Camp, now in it’s 5th year, is underway. The camp is running two sessions this summer, open to 7th, 8th and 9th grade children of company employees. Designed as a “Welcome to Our World” (WOW), the goal of the Camp is to provide each student with life skills needed to survive and prosper in our world, and to foster a sense of pride in the work their parents do at Tanimura & Antle.
