Growing up on his family’s farm in Gonzales, CA, Steve Bassi did everything from driving tractors to hoeing weeds. After college, he worked as a Pest Control Advisor before coming to work with Tanimura & Antle. In his role as Sr. Vice President of Agriculture Operations, he supports each Tanimura & Antle grower to ensure maximum product quality and efficiency for each farm. Steve has enjoyed every minute of his 25 years with the Tanimura & Antle families, “it's an exciting business, and I’ve never had a dull moment.”

Alex Camany has been growing for Tanimura & Antle for 27 years, just one year after the Tanimura and Antle partnership was created.  Alex was born and raised in the Salinas Valley, starting his career as a produce grower when he partnered with his son to start a strawberry farm.  Alex grows celery, cauliflower, lettuce and lettuce mixes for Tanimura & Antle.  He describes farming as “challenging…full of balancing and requiring fast decision-making. ”

"I started in the family business when I was 13, laying sprinkler pipe." Learning the business from the ground up, Keith Tanimura worked alongside his father and uncles before going to college to earn his degree in Ag Business. Today, Keith is known for his machinery and mechanics talents that he uses to come up with innovative ways to keep the farm running efficiently. With the motto of Grown with Family Pride for 3 Generations, the Tanimura family of farmers is proud to produce a full line of quality vegetables for other families to enjoy!

"I feel lucky to be able to be outside every day." Like many farmers, Tony enjoys his outdoor office, where he works daily to produce fresh vegetables like Romaine Lettuce, Cauliflower and Broccoli. His family started farming in Fremont, California when it was still mostly farmland, at that time specializing in Cauliflower. Settling in Hollister, California with his wife and children, Tony farms throughout the Monterey and San Benito Counties of California working with his father and two brothers.
